A Boring Week

Unfortunately, or fortunately for my grades, this past week has been pretty uneventful! After my constant travel, it was nice to have a break to catch up on grades and college apps. This upcoming week however, is the polar opposite of last week--it is FULL of social events and important exams!

Let's first talk about what's happened since the 25th when we last talked. There was no assessment due last week, so in regard to ISM work, we've really just been preparing for our Business Symposium (the ISM Fall-Semester business convention). But of course, more on that next week, because that deserves it's own report. Otherwise, we introduced the upcoming 12-week cumulative project called Original Work in class to get students beginning to think about project ideas. Other than those two, the call log where students recorded attempted interaction and conversations with business professionals is due by the 6th along with a reseaassessmentrch !

Moving into school overall, I had an exam in American History, Calculus, and Statistics! I've got a World Lit comprehensive Unit Exam tomorrow morning and a Physics 2 Thermo Exam at the end of this week. Needless to say it's obvious the marking period will end soon because all the teachers are attempting to finalize their grades.

When it comes to social events, I went to Garba for the first time last Friday! Garba is a celebrational Indian holiday marked by festivals with music and dancing. I will say, the dancing is no joke! I was learning new steps and following the beats of the drums for over four hours!! It was so much fun that I talked with some friends, and we're going again this weekend.

Speaking of, let's overlook the rest of this coming week. Starting with Wednesday, I'll have no school because of the PSAT so that'll be a great study day! Thursday I'll be out for Business Symposium. And, we have a four-day weekend. Also, I have the SAT, a friends birthday party, and Garba all on Saturday. On Sunday, I'll be helping teach at my religious school and later in the day I have another party to attend! Phew, I'm stressed even writing it all out, but I know I'm super excited to see what the new month will hold!

Until next week,
- Samantha Stein
