A Week of Highs and Homework

Hey there, lovely readers! This week's post might be a tad shorter, but it's not lacking any excitement! Life has been a huge rollercoaster this past week, so here's a glimpse of the highs and homework that's come with it.

So...I officially got braces! While I'm excited for the future results, the current pain is a lot to handle. But hey, no pain, no gain, right? Other than the huge physical change today, life threw a huge curveball as I got sick last week. I was out for three whole days and I'm now fearing the amount of exams I have to make up. It's a bit overwhelming, but I'm tackling it one assignment at a time. On a separate academic note, I took my final SAT this past Saturday. There's something almost sentimental about being done with my standardized testing--truly the end of a stressful era.

In regards to social events, I attended my first football game this year (third overall in my high school career). Of course, it was the last game of the season, so it was nice to finish it out with friends. but, the fun didn't stop there; we had Bonfire Night on Saturday. Bonfire Night is one of the last senior events in fall, and was country all the way! We roasted marshmallows for smores, tested our rodeo skills on a mechanical bull, and danced the night away! I'm so excited for all the little things we seniors have left until graduation, they get better and better.

Now, for a little ISM update. Research speeches are just around the corner and I'm super interested in hearing my ISM I students and seeing how much their presentational skills have grown. And, of course, there's Original Work. We recently submitted our proposals, so now it's time to get to researching and detailed planning,

This week might have been shorter on words, but it's been packed full of memories! From braces to Senior events to the steady grind of homework, my life sure is never dull.

Until next week,
Samantha Stein
