College Apps, DECA Hustle, and a Dash of Hanukkah Joy

Hey, wonderful readers! Buckle up for another dive into my life. This week was a mix of college application adrenaline, DECA project mayhem, a stubborn battle with the common cold, and the promise of Hanukkah lights shimmering on the horizon. Join me as I spill the tea on my latest adventures.

College Application Milestone:
Guess what? The moment I've been waiting for has arrived – I officially hit "submit" on my UT and A&M college applications. The culmination of essays, recommendations, and personal statements is now out of my hands. Let the waiting game begin!

DECA Print Party Extravaganza:
In the world of DECA, this week was marked by the grand finale – our Print Party. From 4:30 PM to a whopping 10 PM, I helped our competitors that have been preparing for months, add the finishing touches to and submit their DECA projects. The energy was electric, and the coffee consumption was borderline legendary.

The Battle with the Common Cold:
Ah, the joy of winter and its not-so-friendly companion – the common cold. I found myself in the grip of sniffles and sneezes yet again. Here's to hoping that once exams are over, my immune system will catch a break, and I can enter the new year without sounding like a living symphony of sniffles. Cheers to stronger immune systems in 2024!

Academic Homestretch:
As the semester winds down, so do my college classes. I tackled my final for government class, and with the finish line in sight, I'm gearing up for the last hurdle – the final for my literature class. Soon, I'll be down to just two high school classes a day, allowing me to channel my focus into grades, college applications, and a bit of life organization. Bring it on, academic homestretch!

Hanukkah on the Horizon:
Amidst the hustle and bustle, I'm eagerly anticipating the warmth of Hanukkah, set to start this Thursday night. The flickering lights, the aroma of latkes in the air – it's the perfect way to usher in a season of joy and celebration.

So, there you have it – a snapshot of my week. Dear readers, stay warm, stay healthy, and may your week be as fabulous as a Hanukkah celebration! Until next time,

-Samantha Stein
